A couple annoyances

Id say this app is about 90% good, but there is one annoyance that is really bad. It defaults to Main zone when the app is closed, so adjusting the volume in zone 2 (where the app would be most useful) sometimes requires a few clicks to get there. The other annoyance is the "search" function: it needs to search sub folders as well to be of *any* use at all. Id give it 5 stars if it werent for these two issues.

Terrible bug in latest update.

Very annoying bug in latest update. Screen touch to choose music playback on a usb stick no longer functions!

Receiver is good very bad network connection

App is good but works only when receiver is connected on same wifi and my newly receiver of 2016 model is bad on network connection .. Every time I see its disconnected from wifi so this app is useless ... Checked firmware on receiver installed which is latest one .. Dont know the resolution yet...!!

Works

However it has to refresh every time you switch back to it, and it sometimes gets hung up there. Maybe that has been fixed, but either way it is not convenient to have it lag every time I want to change the volume. Other than that it does what its supposed to. Thanks

Great

Onkyo provided an excellent app. Its super fast, gui is light and very user friendly. I like it a lot and dont need to use 3rd party apps finally :-)

Where is zone 2 volume????

Crash with TX-8150

Doesnt work with TX-8150, when connecting my iPhone with device, it switching it off and before unplug Onkyo is dead :/

DLNA problem

Last version has a problem - browsing of DLNA trees do not work! In older versions it was convenient and useful.

It doesnt work

No connection with the device since I have installed iOS 9. Please, fix it

Seems ok to me. Had a connection issue. Pretty neat though. Only had it 5 minutes though so well see

Always having connection problems

Had semi worked at first but out of no where it just completely stopped. My receiver works perfectly fine so plz fix this app ASAP.

Dont work

Wont even find my receivers worked great for awhile then just stopped work I have two receivers and it cant find them

This app works great. It can be a little slow but not bad. People with negative reviews need to learn about using electronics before you bash the app.

Onkyo Hates Us

***UPDATE***5/4/16 I have hated...HATED this app for years. But Im a fair person and I have to give credit where credit is due. I recently came across an opportunity to upgrade my Onkyo 8050 to the 8160. I liked the receiver a lot, but hated the app so much I almost didnt do it. But I did. And UNBELIEVABLY this horrible, horrendous, poor excuse of an app Onkyo has given us....works better?? Yeah, you read that right. I wouldnt believe it if I didnt witness it for myself. With the 8160 I no longer have: - blurry album art (album art is crisp and clear - as it should be) - disconnection whenever multitasking and then going back to the app (no more connection drops when going back to the Onkyo app) -lack of thumb scrolling (where as previously I would have to touch arrows to move up or down in the app, I can now navigate the app by sliding my finger up and down on the screen. Im not sure why the app delivers a different user experience depending on the hardware you are using - but I can confirm there is definitely a much improved experience with the app on the 8160 vs the 8050. Still...Onkyo - get your S**t together. END. You can turn the volume up and down. Thats about all it does well. Otherwise - it continues to be the crap app it has been year after year. -Blurry album art✔️ -Constantly having to reestablish the connection while multi-tasking✔️ -No thumb scrolling up and down - you have to touch arrows✔️ -User interface that looks like an app from 2008✔️ Im not sure why Onkyo hates its customers to the point that they wont hire a professional app developer, but its very clear that they do. They hate us. This app is the closest thing to Onkyo saying "hey customers - we hate you!

Dont like

I recently switched over from Denon to Onkyo and app is horrible compared to Denons. Hard to set up and difficult to use. Have to say Im pretty disappointed so far.

Will not connect

Does not seem to work with iOS 9. App needs to be updated.

It works all right

I have two onkyos at the moment and so far I am able to connect and use my receiver and amp, I am only rating this 3 stars as the graphic interface could be more intuitive, modern and simple, it is just to many steps for doing something basic, for me is all right but convincing my wife to use it has been a challenge as she always forget my instructions, that means is not simple. I would like to be able to control speakers A+B, A or B from the app but it seems this is not an option., and also would be great to control the two of them at the same time, lets say Spotify to play on both receivers same songs same account.

I cant play any of my songs! This is what I dont understand!! I can plug my phone in using a cord and listen to them, WHY CANT I LISTEN TO THEM STREAMING WIRELESSLY!!!??? PATHETIC!

Killer!

Works flawlessly for me on my 828. Controls volume and selection on zone 2 from my patio. So nice..
